Under Locke, and Free
By Kevin Beardmore, Ed.D., President, Southeast New Mexico College In 1588, an English child was born prematurely during a panic as the Spanish Armada approached. The son, Thomas Hobbes, later said that his “mother gave birth to twins: myself and fear.” While England successfully repelled the Spanish fleet, a deep concern for security permeated the writings of Hobbes, including his foundational text in Western political philosophy, Leviathan. Living an Exceptional Life #93
By Rhonda Jones Awwww, summertime and the living is easy. Days are longer, meals are lighter, and there is more time to get out and enjoy the daylight and the warm days. I love to take a walk around sundown. The air is cooler and not as heavy, and the walk is refreshing. I also eat more salads and lighter food during the summer. If you are like me, you don’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen when you can be out enjoying the evening, so a little batch cooking goes a l

Which brings to mind a round of golf I carded several months ago here in Springfield, Mo. So bad was it that I almost tossed my clubs in a dumpster on my way home. But, bei
