Mercedes Adriene Ramos, 28, of Hummingbird Road Artesia, New Mexico left this world too soon on
Saturday, January 16, 2021, surrounded by her family at home. Mercedes was born on April 19, 1992, in
Roswell, New Mexico to Antonio and Irma Ramos.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Forever Free
Fellowship Church: 801 W. Grand Ave. Artesia, NM. Limit of 5 people at a time with masks will be
enforced. Following, there will be private services at the church, and interment at Woodbine Cemetery in
Artesia, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mercedes was a loving and sweet person. She loved her family deeply, and they were her number one
priority. Her son was her world and the light of her life. She was an avid cook, baker, and canner, and she
was known for her delicious meals, that brought her family together. Mercedes enjoyed spending quality
time with her friends, and movie nights with the family. She also enjoyed traveling every chance she
could get, and going on the annual family cruise. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
Mercedes was preceded in death by her grandparents and one nephew.
Mercedes is survived by her precious son, Jace Miranda of Artesia, NM; parents, Antonio and Irma
Ramos of Artesia, NM; sister, Monica Chavez and husband, Rigo of Artesia NM; brother, Jose Ramos
and wife, Linda of Houston, TX; five nieces and nephews: Ivan Duran, BreeAnn Duran, David Duran III,
Daven Duran, and Tiffany Saldana; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
