Cavemen Host Round Robin Tournament

The Cavemen Baseball Round Robin Tournament will get underway at the Tom Forni Cavemen Corral on Thursday, March 19, and run through Saturday, March 21.

Competing in this year’s event, along with the host, Carlsbad, will be Hobbs, Mayfield, Cathedral, Organ Mt., and R.O.S. (El Paso’s Rose of Sharon).

The schedule for the three-day CHS baseball fest looks like this:

May 19, Thursday: Game 1, R.O.S. vs. Hobbs at 11 a.m.; Game 2, R.O.S. vs. Mayfield at 2 p.m.; Game 3, Carlsbad vs. Organ Mt. at 5 p.m.

May 20, Friday: Game 1, Organ Mt. vs. Hobbs at 10 a.m.; Game 2, Mayfield vs. Cathedral at 12:30 p.m.; Game 3, Carlsbad vs. Cathedral at 3 p.m.; Game 4, Carlsbad vs. R.O.S. at 5:30 p.m.

May 21, Saturday: Game 1, R.O.S. vs. Organ Mt.at 10 a.m.; Game 2, Carlsbad vs. Mayfield at 12:30 p.m.; Game 3, Cathedral vs. Hobbs at 3 p.m.

Cavemen Baseball Update

The Cavemen baseball team is currently competing in the Las Cruces Invitational. Action got underway on Thursday, March 12, and will continue through Saturday, March 14.

Following a 32-19 victory over Farmington and losses to Piedra Vista (11-1) and Cleveland (4-0) in the Hobbs Round Robin Invitational last weekend, March 5-7, the Cavemen entered the City of Crosses tournament at 2-4.
