Arthur G. Sosa, 43, of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away on December 25, 2020, in El Paso, Texas. Art
was born February 19, 1977, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Ernesto and Criselda Sosa.
Art is survived by his parents; and three brothers: Danny Sosa and wife Marianne, Ernest Sosa, and
Anthony Sosa all of Carlsbad, New Mexico. Godson: Juan Muñoz. Five nieces: Amanda April Sosa,
Amber Elizondo, Monica Ybaben, Vanessa Desaire, and Anjelica Sosa all of Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Three nephews: Ernest Sosa, Jonthaniel Sosa, and Anthony Sosa all of Carlsbad, New Mexico. Numerous
great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Art was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Manuel and Thomasa Sosa. Maternal
grandfather: Jose Gonzalez. Uncle, Johnny Sosa and sister-in-law, Patricia Pat Sosa.
Art worked for the GEO group of Hobbs, New Mexico for 22 years. Art also worked at Calvary Memorial
Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico and Code 4 Security along with the union. He loved working and
enjoyed his coworkers. He loved them all like family. Art enjoyed coming to get his pets Rocky and
Chomille, those were his children; everyone knew how much they meant to him. Art loves spending time
with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He attended all the family functions. Art was loved by
many. He also had a big heart and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone. He will be missed dearly.
Art was the best uncle and any kid could ever ask for.
There will be private family services held at San José Catholic Church in Carlsbad, New Mexico with
father Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Burial will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery. Funeral services are
under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico and Denton-Wood
Funeral Home of Carlsbad, New Mexico.
