Amber Kay Eaton, 35, of Monte Vista Street, passed away January 1, 2021.
Amber Kay Eaton was born November 8, 1985 in Albuquerque, NM to Richard and Lagi
Kay (Spencer) Otero. She attended school in Carlsbad. Amber worked as an EMT with
Elite and also volunteered with Joel Volunteer Fire Dept. More recently, she worked as a
bartender and was currently with Guadalupe Mountain Brewing Co. Amber loved her
friendships, but above all else, she cherished her family. She was preceded in death by her
brother, Elijah Otero; sister, Sammi Massey and grandparents: Jerry and Sunny Spencer.
Survivors are her sons: Jeremiah Otero and Sabastian Eaton; stepdaughter, Elisa
Abernathy; stepsons: Christian Eaton and Kenson Eaton; grandson, Alexander Rice;
husband, Jason Eaton; mother, Kay Massey and husband, Curtis; father, Richard Otero and
wife, Beverly; grandparents: Richard and Barbara Otero; brother, Andrew Massey; sisters:
Alicia Otero and Toni Massey and Margaret Sanchez; boyfriend, Alexander Griffith and
nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
