From Carlsbad, Armed Forces veterans needing transport to medical appointments are served free by SE NM Vets T. Volunteer drivers of SE NM Veterans Transport bring our heroes to checkups and procedures near and far.

Our late Milton Limbert served in the U.S. Army, training at Fort Bliss, TX, and mustering out from Fort Sill, OK, plus deployment for a year in Vietnam. There, he launched weather balloons and took wind readings. His best friend in Nam was a Black G.I. from Harlem. Two short dudes hung out together off hours.

In recent years, Milton’s progressive Parkinson’s ended his driving. With SE NM Vets T., Milton reached the V.A. clinic in Artesia plus the neurologist and a colon surgery in Roswell.

Milton was blessed to have help from the SE NM Vets T. volunteer drivers. His blessing upon new folks who sign up to drive.
