I moved to Carlsbad in 2022 for my husband who is a police officer in the community. I was still working with the company I was recruiting for full time remotely as well as being a stay at home mom taking care of our little one. I was then laid off from my job due to budget cuts and wasn’t quite sure what my next steps would be. A few months after I lost my job, I was contacted by Carlsbad Medical Center with a job offer that I felt I absolutely could not turn down. As the Director of Provider Outreach, I get to share the amazing services our hospital has to offer for the community and act as a liaison to ensure seamless care for the patients we serve. I truly believe my passion for serving the underserved and making a difference is what sets me apart. It is easy to sit back and complain about things not being better, but it is the best and most rewarding challenge when you are the one who strives to be the change. I have volunteered for community clean ups, food drives, family and employee gatherings, and many more events. One of the most notable events that I help with is our “Girls Night Out” event that CMC sponsors to raise funds that will assist cancer patients in our area with expenses related to their care.
