‘The Biggest Carnival’ to Come to Carlsbad!

Carlsbad Live, LLC is thrilled to announce “The Biggest Carnival to Come to Carlsbad!” running from July 17 to July 20, at the Bob Forrest Sports Complex.

Partnering with Wrights Amusements, this spectacular event promises a full-blown midway experience featuring thrilling rides, family-friendly kids’ rides, delicious food, exciting games, and a vibrant atmos-phere guaranteed to bring smiles to all ages. Curtis McKinney, owner of Carlsbad Live, shared his enthu-siasm: “As a kid, I was awestruck by the JC Fair that came to Carlsbad. Those memories stuck with me, and I’m passionate about creating events that leave a lasting impression on our community.”

Following the overwhelming success of Wrights Amusements at Hawgfest two years ago, McKinney col-laborated with Mayor Rick Lopez to secure the perfect venue. “We needed a location that could handle a carnival of this scale while ensuring ample parking and a safe environment. Mayor Lopez was incredibly supportive, and the Bob Forrest Sports Complex is the ideal spot. The City of Carlsbad has been phe-nomenal to work with,” McKinney said.

In the spirit of giving back, Carlsbad Live is proud to donate a portion of the carnival’s proceeds to the United Way of Carlsbad. McKinney noted, “I’ve been inspired by the work of Kyle Marksteiner, the new di-rector of United Way. Their impact on our community is profound, and we’re honored to support their efforts to help so many people.”

Carlsbad Live, LLC, is the parent company of Cranked Up Records, distributed globally by Virgin Music Group. The company was also recently awarded the management contract for the Walter Gerrells Per-forming Arts Center in Carlsbad. McKinney added, “I’m excited for all the events our community presents and very happy to be back at the Walter Gerrells PAC. It is our plan to reinvigorate the facility with a variety of shows and entertainment.
