Southeast New Mexico College (SENMC) is proud to recognize its Mountain Lion Student of the Month for November, an honor established to celebrate students who embody the college’s core values.

The Mountain Lion Student of the Month program was created to promote a culture of excellence, encourage active student engagement, and recognize outstanding achievements in academics, leadership, and community involvement. All currently enrolled SENMC students in good academic standing are eligible for nomination.

For the month of November, SENMC is pleased to announce Antonia Robledo as the award recipient. Antonia was nominated by her professor, Dr. John Fry, in recognition of her dedication, hard work, and contributions to the SENMC community.

In her nomination, Dr. John Fry said, “Antonia is one of the most remarkable students I’ve had the honor to work with. She combines raw intellect, street smarts gained over a lifetime of experience, and down-to-earth empathy together within herself, that is, and she gives freely with abandon. She’s a gift to our college and wider community, the kind that almost always flies under the radar because the grace she offers is as every day as a listening ear or willingness to go to the store to pick up a few things for you if you’re more or less bound to your house. She deserves to be celebrated.”

This recognition initiative reflects SENMC’s ongoing commitment to highlighting student success and fostering a strong, engaged campus community.
