The medical profession involves many facets of health. Ranging from emergency services to preventative healthcare and even aesthetics. Amber Bojorquez NP-C, MEP-C, owner of Epitome of Youth Wellness and Aesthetics in downtown Carlsbad, recently returned from a trip to Miami, FL, where she attended the Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine World Conference (AMWC).

Bojorquez was the only attendee from New Mexico at the conference and joined in on educational seminars with practitioners and professionals from around the globe. Bojorquez strives to maintain her education on industry standards.

“My trip to the AMWC in Miami was an incredible experience filled with cutting-edge education and global connections. The conference brought together some of the best minds in aesthetics, and I had the opportunity to learn advanced techniques in injectables, skin rejuvenation, and regenerative medicine that will elevate the treatments I offer at Epitome of Youth Wellness and Aesthetics,” said Bojorquez.

“One of the most rewarding aspects of the trip was meeting industry experts from around the world, including professionals from Ukraine, Germany, Brazil, Colombia, Paris, and Australia. It was inspiring to exchange knowledge and gain insight into how different countries approach aesthetics and wellness,” Bojorquez added.

Ever mindful of the laws and regulations in the industry, Bojorquez’s practice focuses on all aspects of wellness in general. “Medical aesthetics requires expertise, artistry, and a deep understanding of facial anatomy. Choosing an experienced injector ensures safe, balanced, and personalized results that complement your unique features rather than altering them. Make sure the injectors adhere to the latest rules and regulations for a better, safer experience,” said Bojorquez. She continued, “Aesthetics isn’t just about appearance; it’s about overall wellness. Your skin reflects what’s happening inside your body, which is why we incorporate functional medicine, supplements, and regenerative treatments to support both inner and outer beauty.

“Medical aesthetics is about enhancing your natural beauty, not changing who you are,” she said. “Our approach is focused on subtle, natural-looking results that help clients feel refreshed, confident, and youthful at any age.”

Starting her professional journey in medicine 25 years ago as a CNA, LPN, Bojorquez became a nurse practitioner in 2024. “Throughout my career, I’ve worked in emergency medicine, primary care, and now medical aesthetics and wellness, which has given me a well-rounded perspective on patient care. Becoming a nurse practitioner allowed me to expand my expertise and take a more proactive approach to helping people feel their best, both inside and out,” she said.

“I’ve always been drawn to helping people feel their best, and throughout my nursing career, I saw how confidence and self-care play a huge role in overall well-being. Aesthetics combines my love for medicine, artistry, and patient relationships, allowing me to create personalized treatments that help people look and feel like the best version of themselves,” Bojorquez said.

This is an exciting year for Bojorquez, who has several trainings booked in Las Vegas, Dallas, San Diego, and Washington, DC.

“I’m committed to the learning experience to help my clients get the best, safest outcomes. Also, I attended a Nu Skin wellness conference in Utah in January, learning about the importance of beauty starting within the body by eating healthy and taking science-based supplements,” she said.

“I think it’s important for the public to know they don’t have to go out of town to receive great treatments,” said Bojorquez. “I’ve been doing this for five years, but recently, dove in full time. I was working on the side, and now I decided to pursue my dreams head-on. There is always something new in the wellness and cosmetic industry, and I travel to learn from all the best,” she added.

Currently located at 213 S. Canyon St., Epitome of Youth Wellness and Aesthetics can be found online at epitomeofyouth.com and on social media with new updates coming soon to all social media content.
