ATC Academy Lead Teacher, Honors English Teacher, MTRT

In June 2024, I moved to Carlsbad to continue my career in education. Since then, I have been teaching Honors English to ninth and tenth graders and serving as the Lead Teacher for the Arts, AV Technology, and Communications (ATC) Academy at Carlsbad High School. As Lead Teacher, I coordinate curriculum, mentor fellow teachers, and support academy initiatives that give students hands-on, career-connected learning experiences. In this role, I have worked to expand opportunities for students to showcase their creativity, engage with professionals in the community, and see how their classroom learning connects to real-world careers. Over the past year, I have dedicated myself to teaching, coaching, mentoring, and leading in ways that extend beyond the walls of Carlsbad High School. My work has always been guided by a simple belief: when we invest in young people, we invest in the future of our community.
