After 20 years away, I returned to my hometown of Carlsbad to open a much-needed dermatology practice with my wife, Leslie. For years, Carlsbad had limited access to specialized skin care, and I saw an opportunity to fill a critical gap in local health services. Beyond healthcare, I have remained committed to community involvement. Our practice partners with local nonprofits to help clothe, feed, and educate those in need. We proudly sponsor Women for a Better Carlsbad, Faith Hope Love Foundation, Special Olympics, and several initiatives within the Carlsbad Foundation. Giving back is part of my upbringing—I grew up in a philanthropic family that instilled in me the value of service. Returning home has given me the privilege of honoring those who shaped me—my teachers, coaches, and neighbors—by supporting the next generation.

Eddy County Commission Approves RFP for Construction of New Detention Center

During Tuesday’s Commission Meeting on November 18, the Eddy County Board of County Commissioners approved the Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit competitive bids from qualified firms for the construction of a new Eddy County Detention Center. The project will be located at 1501 Corrales Drive in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
