Dedicated to providing unique entertainment and family fun in Carlsbad, what Click N Pose has in store for the community is somewhat of a mystery. This time of year, their haunted house is the main attraction. Coupled with other appealing activities that people of all ages enjoy, the house of horrors is sure to be a hit.

Click N Pose, 323 W. Mermod St., is a fairly new business in Carlsbad that opened earlier this year. “We have a few things going on,” said Priscila Hernandez, owner of Click N Pose. “We have the haunted house; we have a few selfie stations that you can still take pictures with; and we have our splatter room and the sandbox room,” she said.

In describing the haunted house, Hernandez said that there are a few mazes throughout the building, accompanied by animatronics, explaining that they are fake monsters. “It is pretty much the whole building,” she said.

The business is open Tuesday through Thursday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the haunted house will be open, featuring live scares starting at 6 p.m., said Hernandez. She said closing time is dependent on traffic, but they plan to keep it open until around 10 p.m.

If anyone wants to come earlier or later than the stated hours, Hernandez said they are welcome to contact her, and she will open it up. She can be reached at 575-725-8026.

Fees to get into the haunted house are $10 for ages 13 and up and $7 for kids 12 and under during the day, without the live scares, said Hernandez. With the live scares, the fee is $15 for ages 13 and up, $10 for ages 6-12, and free admission for kids five and under, she said.

To stay informed about what’s going on at Click N Pose, follow their Facebook page. According to the advertisements published on the Facebook page, recent special nights included Blackout Night, where glow sticks were used on a trip through the horror house; a night dedicated to players in a softball tournament with special discounts; and Hide and Seek Night, where guests hid and became the hunted.

Aside from the haunted house, which is expected to stay open through mid-November, Click N Pose is known for its selfie stations, splatter room, and the recently added sandbox room.

Hernandez said, in the “glow in the dark” splatter room, guests can come and throw paint. “They can do selfies in there as well,” she said.

About the sandbox room, Hernandez said, “We have sand in there for toddlers to come and play.”

Juar’Axe, 101 N. Canal St., is offering “Reaper’s Hallow” with live actors in a 10,000 square foot space on October 17, 18, 24, 25, 31, and November 1 from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m., according to an event flyer.
