Dallas Silva

Dallas Silva is the Director of The Sunnyside Daycare in Carlsbad, where she has worked for nearly three years, overseeing both students and teachers at the center. Originally from Las Vegas, New Mexico, Dallas has called Carlsbad home for the past eight years.

At 26 years old, Dallas is a dedicated mother of two daughters, ages 8 and 3. Her career in childcare began when her youngest daughter was an infant, and she has since developed a passion for early childhood education and leadership.

Dallas holds an Associate’s degree in General Studies and Social Work and is currently pursuing a certificate in Child Development. As a single mother balancing work and family responsibilities, she understands firsthand the childcare challenges facing many families in the Carlsbad community.

Though new to community service organizations, Dallas is eager to become more involved in volunteer opportunities throughout Carlsbad. She is particularly concerned about addressing affordable childcare and housing issues in the area and hopes to make a positive impact on these challenges.
