Coming up at the Library

Carlsbad Public Library hosts a variety of programming for both kids and adults.

Tuesdays at 10 a.m. is Toddler Time for children 16-35 months. Wednesdays at 10 a.m. is Preschool Time for children 3-5 years old and Thursdays at 10 a.m. is Baby Time for babies ages birth to 15 months. Registration is encouraged as space is limited. Call or come by the library to register. Story time programs will run through December 11 and pick back up February 3.

There will be no story time programs during the week of Thanksgiving, but there will be special craft days Monday through Wednesday, November 24-26, at 10 a.m. in the Children’s Department. This is a come-and-go craft event while supplies last; no need to register. Carlsbad Public Library will be closed Thursday, November 27, through Saturday, November 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday and will reopen for normal business hours at 9 a.m. on Monday December 1.

On Friday, November 21, at 9:30 a.m., Carlsbad Public Library will host Story Time at the Zoo, there is no cost to attend story time, but regular zoo admission applies if participants want to tour the Living Desert Zoo & Gardens afterwards.

On Tuesday, November 25, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., there will be a folded book tree craft for individuals ages 18 and up. This is a come-and-go craft event while supplies last; no need to register.

On Friday, December 5, at 9:30 a.m., Carlsbad Public Library will host Story Time at the Zoo, there is no cost to attend story time, but regular zoo admission applies if participants want to tour the Living Desert Zoo & Gardens afterwards.

On Tuesday, December 9, at 6 p.m., there will be a Holly Jolly Book Vase program for individuals aged 18 and up. All materials provided; registration is required.

On Friday, December 12, at 10 a.m., Andy Mason will perform his Christmas program “A Brief History of Christmas Music” in the Children’s Department; no registration required.

STEM Club will be on Saturday, December 13, at 3 p.m. at Carlsbad Public Library. This event is for kids in first through fifth grades, and registration is required.

On Saturday, December 20, at 10 a.m. there will be a Paint-n-sip (juice) event for families to attend in the Children’s Department, while supplies last; no registration needed.
