Class of ‘65 to Have 60th

Do you have fond memories of your high school years? Do you still keep in touch with some of your classmates? We need your help in notifying as many classmates as possible about this upcoming reunion.

The reunion committee is working on our 60-year reunion. The committee has agreed that this one will be our last reunion, and we don’t want you to miss this last chance to renew old friendships! Mark your calendars for THE LAST HURRAH! October 3-4 at the Stevens Inn.

We’ll kick things off on Friday evening at 6 p.m. with registration and an evening of socializing. For Saturday, we’re working on arranging a visit to our old high school, including a tour of new facilities that have been added since our last reunion in 2015. We’re also arranging for a visit to the newly refurbished Cavern Theatre, which has been transformed into a Theatre Arts Center. That should bring back lots of memories! We’ll wrap up on Saturday evening with a nice dinner catered by The Stevens, while being entertained with music by a fun deejay. Get ready to “laugh until your cheeks hurt!”

For those of you who know out-of-town classmates, The Stevens Inn is setting aside a block of rooms for us at the special rate of $109 per night. Encourage them to make their reservations early. They were recently acquired by the Wyndham chain and have been remodeled, so this is a real bargain. They can call them directly at 1-800-730-2851 for a reservation and ask for the Class of ‘65 rate.

AND, we have a surprise! We’re expecting a special mystery guest. This is someone who arrived in Carlsbad when we were in high school and who has become a Carlsbad icon. You’ll love this!
