ELA Curriculum Specialist

I am an accomplished and dedicated education professional with over a decade of experience in K-12 education. Since moving to Carlsbad in 2020, I have continued to advance my career, serving as an ELA teacher and an instructional coach before accepting my current role as the district’s K-12 ELA Curriculum Specialist. In this role, I have focused on building a bridge between central office resources and the teachers in our community. Additionally, I have successfully secured several grants from the New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) to support both students and teachers. My contributions to the community go beyond my professional role and reflect my personal commitment to fostering a vibrant and supportive environment. As a “competitive cheer mom” for the past four years, I have served on the public relations and fundraising committees. In this role, I have organized our team’s participation in local events such as the Fourth of July and Homecoming parades, and coordinated initiatives to make and donate items to support community groups. These efforts not only raise funds for our team but also build strong ties with the wider community.
