All Star DMV is now The MVD Powered by NMAIA. The change comes not long after the parent organization opened a new office in Las Cruces, bearing the same name. The New Mexico Automotive Industry Alliance also rebranded its Albuquerque office to match.

“We’re very excited to have this branding across the board for all of our locations and for those yet to come,” said NMAIA Chief Operations Officer Marti Lynn Duran. “However, rest assured, we still offer the same great customer service we always have.”

The Carlsbad office, now located at 401 N. Canyon St., has been in operation for almost a decade, providing title transfers and registrations, VIN inspections, and other vehicle-related MVD services. In recent years, the office has added assistance with commercial vehicle transactions and DOT compliance as well as surety bonds.

“We’re excited to see this area of our operations grow,” Duran said. “We want to be a real one-stop-shop for all kinds of vehicle transactions, and our team is working hard to make sure those transactions are done quickly and efficiently.

“We’ve got a great team in place,” she added, “and we’re looking to hire additional staff in the near future for the Carlsbad site.”

Duran said the main organization has rebranded as well, going from the New Mexico Independent Auto Dealers Association to the NMAIA. “We wanted to be more inclusive of all sectors of the automotive industry,” she said. “That means everything from dealers to towing and trucking companies. We anticipate big things for the future of the organization and the members we serve.”

Both the Carlsbad and Las Cruces offices of The MVD accept walk-in transactions from the public as well as drop-off work from banks, dealers, and other entities.

A list of services they provide includes title transfers and duplicate titles, first-time registration and registration renewals, on- and off-site VIN inspections, adding or releasing a lien, and full-service assistance with bonded titles. The DOT side of the office handles everything needed to be compliant with state and federal regulations on trucking companies.

“We want people to think of us not as just another MVD, but THE MVD,” Duran said. “It’s the one place they need to go to get it all done.”

The MVD may be reached by phone at 575-725-5150. More information is available on the company’s website: www.themvdnm.com.
