Jewel Monroe is the daughter of Jeff and Jo Lynn Munro and the sister of Jennifer Wenner (24) and Jessica Munro (21). Jewel plans to attend Texas Tech University, with a major in Sports Media with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She is involved in Cavegirl Soccer, the Educators Rising Program, and sports photography. Jewel is a member of the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society and has earned A-Honor Roll recognition throughout high school. She is being recognized for her strong academic record as one of Carlsbad’s outstanding graduating seniors.


Olivia Chavez is the daughter of Enrique and Nicole Chavez and the sister of Isabella Chavez (24), Alexander Chavez (16), and Sofia Chavez (11). After graduation, Olivia plans to attend ENMU–Roswell, where she will major in Emergency Services. She is actively involved in Track and Field, Cross Country, and Athletic Training. Olivia is also a member of the National Honor Society. She is being recognized as one of Carlsbad’s notable graduating seniors for her dedication to academics.


Scarlett Harmer is the daughter of Chuck and Michalle Harmer and the sister of Violet Harmer (16). Scarlett plans to study Kinesiology first to prepare her for graduate studies in physical therapy. Scarlett is a four-year member of the wrestling team and a member of the National Honor Society. She has earned All A Honor Roll recognition since her freshman year, received scholar recognition at the wrestling banquet, earned a varsity letter in wrestling, and completed ACT Keys. For fun, she goes to the gym and plays with her dog, Mr. Pickles. Scarlett is recognized for her academic accomplishments as a graduating senior.


Yaretzi Cornejo is the daughter of Jonathan and Jacqueline Cornejo and the sister of Mya Cornejo (18) and Zair Cornejo (15). Yaretzi plans to attend college after graduation, and pursue a career in dentistry, with a planned major in Biology. She is involved in the National Honor Society, plays on the Cavegirl Soccer team, and is a member of BPA. Yaretzi has earned A Honor Roll recognition, received various soccer awards, and has been named Academic All-District. She is being recognized for her strong academic performance as she prepares to graduate and take the next steps toward her future goals.
