Carlsbad Schools Public Survey

I requested that a public survey be put out for direct and formal input from our community, which the board will review before making the very important decision on what the CHS redesign will look like.

This project is precious to a lot of memories and traditions in our community, but so is providing a campus that is safe and gives the opportunity for the best education possible for the generations that are building those traditions and memories now, and for years to come.

Changes are necessary, but I believe that we can proceed in a way that honors our past, as well as protects and provides opportunities for the future. These designs being presented were developed through local research and insight and are what the redesign committee (comprised of students, parents, community members, and staff) has come to a consensus to support.

I value input from every member of our community and hope you will take time to consider the options and share your thoughts before September 5, when the survey closes.

The Carlsbad Board of Education wants your input as we move toward selecting a final design for the new Carlsbad High School.

You can review the design options and share your preference by completing the survey linked below. For more background on the process and how we arrived at this stage, you can also view meeting minutes and presentations on the District website under the CHS Redesign Project.

The Board is scheduled to vote on the final design on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
