AAUW May Girls of the Month

Yuki Ye plans to attend college after graduation, where she hopes to study political science or international relations. She is the daughter of Jinfeng Ye and Qiaoyu Huang and the sister of Brian Ye (19). At Carlsbad High School, Yuki has been involved in Taekwondo, Business Professionals of America (BPA), and the National Honor Society. Through BPA, she has competed at a high level, qualifying for nationals three times and earning sixth place in Legal Office Procedures at the BPA National Leadership Conference, as well as placing 10th in Microsoft Office Specialist PowerPoint at the Microsoft National Championship. She also serves as the New Mexico BPA State President and was named New Mexico BPA Member of the Year. With all she has taken on, Yuki continues to stand out for her academics and is being recognized for the level of excellence she has maintained throughout high school.

Lily Moho plans to attend New Mexico State University after graduation, where she will study nursing. She is the daughter of Fredy and Crissy Moho and the sister of Gandhi Moho (21) and Kelsier Moho (14). At Carlsbad High School, Lily has been involved in band, BPA, and tennis, and also enjoys playing guitar. She has taken on leadership in band as a section leader and has competed at the national level through BPA, earning a top 10 finalist placement. Lily has earned both AB Honor Roll and A Honor Roll recognition during high school. Along with everything she has been involved in, Lily has stayed focused on her academics and is being recognized for the work she has put in throughout her high school years.
