Otis “Sonny” Roy Dakan, 89, of Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away in Odessa, Texas, on
Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Sonny was born on November 28, 1931, in Wink, Texas to
Otis Harry and Helen (Murz) Dakan. Sonny is survived by his wife, Rayla Dakan; sons: Joe
Dakan and Kyle Bump. Sonny was preceded in death by son: Danny.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM, Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Denton-Wood
Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be at 1:00 PM, January 13, 2021, at Jal City
Cemetery, Jal, New Mexico, Pastor Howell Scott officiating. Condolences may be
