Local-10-15-21 Cross Country HobbsCHS runs 2nd & 3rd at 'Bob Jackson Invitational'The Cavemen and Cavegirl cross country teams recently returned from Hobbs, Oct. 7, where they performed well at the 'Bob Jackson Invitational'.The Cavemen, behind Ralph Espinoza's time of 20.25 and Luke Peters 20.26 placed second while the Cavegirls, led by Mikayla Jefferson's mark of 24.52, finished third."I'm extremely proud of these kids and how hard they have been working over the past few weeks," said CHS cross country coach Leisha Young. "They've raced on some very challenging courses this past month, courses that have really helped to prepare them for the last few weeks of our season.""Both the girls and boys varsity teams are currently ranked 2nd in our district, with several of our individuals ranked in the top ten," she said.Next up for the CHS cross country program will be the Portales Invitational, set to get underway on Thursday, Oct. 21.Meet Results
