Bringing Our Game Boys & Girls Club

Bringing Our A-Game The Boys & Girls Club, in partnership with Riverside Country Club, hosted its most successful golf tournament to date! The one-day tournament featured a variety of mini-games and drawings for the 96 golfers to participate in. From the longest drive to the unanswered hole in one challenge, participants put forth their best efforts with the Energy Pros team coming out on top in Flight 1 and the AR Foreman team claiming the lead for Flight 2. Triple T’s Linings generously provided lunch to everyone at the tournament, with Constructor’s Inc offering their grilling trailer and grill master, Steven Schroeder. Title sponsors for the event were Carlsbad Chevrolet and Energy Pros. Advisory Board member Chad Ingram headed up the event, soliciting donors and teams, planning mini-games, and managing the drawings. Once again, Albertsons incredible A-Team generously gave up their Saturday to volunteer. Volunteers helped with registration, mini-games, and serving lunch. Though some of the volunteers at each event vary, the A-team’s support has proven to be one of our most valuable partnerships. Board chair and Albertsons Manager David Beaty expressed our appreciation for the support we received for this event and is already excited for next year’s tournament! “I’m very appreciative of how the community rallied to our cause at this event. Our amazing staff, board members, and volunteers came together to make it the most successful golf fundraiser ever for BGCC. We are already on bigger plans for next year’s event. Please let us know if you would like to help make a difference. We are always looking for additional support of any kind. Thank you and God Bless!” The Club would like to thank each and every sponsor, golfer, and volunteer for helping us make this event such a success. Big things are happening at our little club and we are excited to continue to build partnerships with our community. Our next fundraiser event is a joint venture with the Cavemen soccer team and will take place on July 31st. ATC has generously offered their help in hosting a benefit Sporting Clay Shoot with a live performance from the Gould Brothers Trick Shooters. Food trucks and raffles will also be part of the event. For more information on this event, or to find out how you can become involved in our pursuit of leading our community’s youth toward a path to success, call the Club at (575)885-8449 or email us at bgcarlsbad@gmail.com.
