Bob

Bob was born one of a set of twins on October 14, 1924 in Camp San Saba, Texas

to Cecil Terrell and Lilly Pearl (Roberts) Calk. He passed from this life to his

eternal life on November 14, 2020 in the comfort of his home.

After his high school graduation, Bob enlisted in the Navy and served our country

during World War II on the SS William A. Henry. After his discharge in 1946 he

went to work for Halliburton and was sent to Big Lake, Texas where he met and

married FayOna Russell.

In 1962 Bob went to work for IMCC in the welding shop and moved his family to

Loving, NM, where he lived the remainder of his life.

Bob and FayOna were married 62 years and had three children: LaVaughn, Bobby

Ray (Bubba) and Sandra Kay (Kaye Kaye). He retired from IMCC in 1985.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Pearl, and two brothers: Billy

and RC Calk. His wife FayOna passed in 2013. Two of the couple’s children

passed earlier. Kaye Price passed away in 2007 and their son Bobby Ray passed in

2010.

Bob is survived by one daughter, LaVaughn and husband, Howard Holcomb; six

grandchildren: Shane McDonald, Vance and wife, Billie McDonald, AJ and wife,

Misti Price, Tara and husband, Mike Fierro, Kevin and wife, Patty Price, and

Bobbie Calk; nine great-grandchildren: Savanna McDonald, Autumn McDonald,

Cody Briones, Tayler Briones, Faith McDonald, Kaiden Carrasco, Shayla

Quintanilla, Shyann Quintanilla and Stetson Quintanilla.

He was very dedicated to his family and if you were ever a member of that family,

you remained his family no matter what. He loved hunting and camping and spent

many hours with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the mountains which

made him so very happy.

Bob was a member of the Cavern Baptist Church but no services are planned at

this time.
